What We’ll Discuss at the Workshop

An insider’s guide to becoming a competitive graduate school applicant at Stanford and beyond!

Stanford Biosciences is comprised of fourteen interdisciplinary home programs. Students pursuing their PhDs in the Biosciences at Stanford are fully funded, which includes tuition, medical and dental insurance, along with a competitive stipend. Currently there are over 700 students enrolled in the Stanford Biosciences from various diverse backgrounds. Come learn about the PhD application process & research opportunities! Opportunities for visiting undergraduates include the ADVANCE Undergraduate Institute (AUI) and Stanford Summer Research Program (SSRP) – Amgen Scholars Program.

The ADVANCE Summer Institute is an intensive 8-week summer program with financial support for incoming 1st year Biosciences students. In addition to developing close mentor relationships, ADVANCE Scholars participate in workshops focused on academic and professional development. ADVANCE fosters students’ sense of belonging within the broader Stanford community, and provides an opportunity to complete an early research lab rotation. Incoming 1st year Biosciences students are nominated by their Biosciences Home Programs. Learn more at https://rb.gy/tbde3w.
